AUGUST McLAUGHLIN with H.S. Clark
At Left Coast Crime, Monterey, CA
This is the second in my series of exclusive interviews with bestselling and emerging authors. Interviewing August McLaughlin was a pleasure, but editing the raw video was a nightmare. I’ve now learned what not to do in a noisy environment, and the limits of audio editing software. I even sent the mp3 audio tract to an expert for additional editing. Many apologies for the high background noise, and the several minutes I had to cut from the original video. Murphy’s Law dictates that if you get a ten-minute interview, a plane will fly over and ruin at least a minute of it. This interview is like a live concert recording, as opposed to the studio version! My old audio and video equipment is going on Ebay, and new, higher tech gear is on the way. In the words of the Who, I won’t get fooled again. This video took me over thirty hours to edit, not including the professional audio editing of the mp3 tract that I sent out.
I’m excited because all my interviews are now available in audio as a FREE subscription to my 5 Star rated iTunes podcast.
